Iryna Zhukovska
Iryna was born in Kiev in 1957. In 1981 she had graduated from Gnesins State Musical Institute in Moscow, Russia. Later she completed the postgraduate course at the same Institute under the guidance of professor Alexander Alexandrov.
Since 1981 Iryna has been teaching piano at Anatoliy Avdievski Art Education Faculty of Dragomanov Pedagogical University in Kiev, Ukraine. She currently holds the rank of associate Professor.
For period of work at Anatoliy Avdievski Art Education Faculty she has prepared 32 students – laureates of international and national piano competitions.
In 2010 Iryna Zhukovska won the I prize in International Piano Competition "Music as classics" in Ruza, Russia. As a jury member she judged numerous national and international piano competitions for students.
During all her performance career she continues playing recitals and concerts with the orchestra in different countries, such as Russia, USA, Israel, Czech Republic, Belgium, France, Poland, China, Germany, Ukraine. Her audio recordings were accepted by National Radio Company of Ukraine. By today Iryna Zhukovska has recorded two CDs containing the music of such composers as J.S. Bach, F. Schubert, F. Chopin, F. Liszt and some prominent Ukrainian composers. Her recordings permanently sound on the radio together with her musicological annotations and interviews.
Irina is big friend of China! She had a lot of concerts and master classes in different city's of China.
Zhukovska's articles devoted to piano education problems are being permanently published in different scientific collections and draw attention of the musical society as well as her presentations at numerous national and international scientific meetings.
Her musical activities always aim to popularize classical music and piano performance among the different audiences. For example, during the years 2015- 2019 Iryna Zhukovska organized and performed 87 concerts with her own culturological annotations, 32 of them were her own recital.
